The newest version of Moodle is on its way and like it’s predecessors it is set to have a huge positive effect on education while keeping Moodle at the forefront of eLearning technology.

Moodle 2.0 will look even better, is more user-friendly and has additional features that will benefit teachers and learners alike!

I have added two presentations detailing the key additional features in Moodle 2.0 to date (nothing is set in stone). Presentation 1 is all about Usability and Appearance (click here), and presentation 2 details the Upgrade Information, Databases and Administration (click here).

If you want to find out more about implementing or upgrading to Moodle 2.0 with Synergy Learning you can find all our contact details at www.synergy-learning.com/contact

I will be keeping you updated with all the latest news so keep posted.

He will also present a case study and present forthcoming networking and community hub functionality in Moodle 2.0. You can catch Alex’s presentation live on Thursday at 9am GMT, then again on Friday at 3pm GMT and Saturday at 11pm GMT.

Yesterday was my first experience of BETT 2010.  Whao! Education has come a long way.

There were a number of Moodle questions from interested eLearners that I want to tackle in upcoming posts.  In the meantime if there is a Moodle question that has been troubling you please leave a comment on this post or email me at joel.kerr@synergy-learning.com.

Also, I was impressed by all the enthusiasm Moodle inspired.  People were just stopping by to say how much they loved Moodle!  If you love Moodle please leave your comments or email me, it would be great to hear your opinions.

The rest of the Synergy Learning team will be at BETT until Saturday (stand N2) so please call down to hear all the news on getting the most from your Moodle.

I want to give you a very quick overview of what we do at Synergy Learning.

Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs) and ePortfolios have become increasingly important in education with Moodle and Mahara emerging as the front-runners for flexibility and cost saving.

Since 1997 Synergy Learning has concentrated on developing content for online learning and have worked to become the leading Moodle and Mahara Partner in the UK and Ireland as well as the only Partner to offer full service solutions (hosting, training, support, consultancy, design services and content development).

As experts in Moodle, Mahara and bespoke content development Synergy Learning removes the burden often associated with implementing VLEs and ePortfolios.

This is a very simplified explanation and more information can be found on our website www.synergy-learning.com, again feel free to leave any comments,

Joel
