Software Engineer
We are currently seeking a Software Engineer to contribute to our growing team in our Belfast Headquarters;
Requirements (essential):
- Degree in computer science or equivalent
- Min Degree in Computer Science or closely related discipline
- Experience in completing a Software Development project
- Experience in a high level programming language (preferably Visual Studio.Net)
- Experience in Database Design and Development
- Good communication and team working skills
Requirements (desirable):
- Familiarity with Learning Objects
- Knowledge of XML
- Knowledge of PHP
- Experience of using a Virtual Learning Environment
- Familiarity of SCORM
Responsibilities:
- Design of Software & Database application
- Implementation of Software & Database application
- Testing of Software & Database application
The position is for a 12 month Fusion funded project which is carried out in partnership with Letterkenny Institute. On successful completion of your project, you will obtain a postgraduate diploma in management practice from Smurfit Business School in UCD. To qualify, applicants must hold or have been awarded a degree/diploma by the closing date (March, 9th 2007).

Moodle Administrator
We are currently seeking a Moodle Administrator to contribute to our growing team in our Belfast Headquarters;
Requirements (essential):
- Degree in computer science or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years Unix system administration experience
- Familiarity with PHP, HTML, Apache and MySQL
- Good communication and team working skills
- Willingness and ability to travel
Requirements (desirable):
- Familiarity with Javascript
- Experience with VLE administration, preferably Moodle
Responsibilities:
- Technical Moodle support
- Installation, customisation and optimisation of customer’s Moodle setups
- Management of company’s Moodle servers
- Technical assistance of sales team, when and if required
- Occasional onsite Moodle admin training

eLearning Consultant – UK (South)
We are currently looking to recruit an eLearning Consultants for the South of England.
Working predominantly within the Further Education, secondary schools and the public/private sector, you will:
- Deliver business development targets by identifying new opportunities that can be met from the Synergy Learning portfolio
- Provide professional advice and customer support to our customers
- A key responsibility will be building relationships to raise achievement and promote our drive for excellence in education.
- Have prime responsibility for supporting a specified territory and you will be the first point for customers within this territory.
- Be educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have an impressive career record, which will include being able to demonstrate a good understanding of the 14-19 educational agenda. Ideally, you will be a skilled salesperson with extensive knowledge of selling technology solutions to the UK Education market.
You should also have demonstrable commercial focus, having worked in a business development/sales role previously.
This position will be home based and as considerable travel is involved, you must have a clean driving licence.

Requirements:

- Experience in creative subjects (media, eMedia, games, 3D) or good working knowledge of software applications (Adobe / Macromedia)
- Business Development experience preferred
